Sweet, tangy pineapple is the star of this tropical smoothie. Blended with mango, banana, apple and creamy coconut milk, it makes a sunny breakfast or an easy afternoon pick-me-up.
We add one to two teaspoons of our Mango Pineapple Sea Moss Gel, which keeps the tropical flavor going and adds a silky texture.
What Goes Into It
- Pineapple: bright flavor and vitamin C.
- Sea moss: a red seaweed that naturally contains minerals such as iodine, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
- Mango and banana: natural sweetness and a thick, creamy texture.
- Coconut milk: a rich, tropical base.
Why We Love Smoothies
- Quick: most smoothies take under 5 minutes to make.
- Easy fiber: whole fruits and vegetables add fiber that helps you feel satisfied.
- Lots of color: fruits are natural sources of antioxidants, and a smoothie makes it easy to enjoy several at once.
- Great ingredients, great taste: ripe fruit and a good sea moss gel make all the difference.

How to Make a Pineapple Sea Moss Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 tsp Mango Pineapple Sea Moss Gel
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 frozen banana (sliced)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 apple (sliced)
Instructions
- If you plan to make this smoothie in the morning, prepare your frozen banana the night before. Line a baking sheet with wax paper, slice the banana and lay the pieces flat so they do not freeze together. Freeze overnight.
- If you are using fresh mango, do the same. Peel and slice the mango, working carefully around the pit, then chop it into chunks and freeze them flat with the banana. If you are using pre-cut frozen mango, simply measure out 1/2 cup.
- Prepare your pineapple. For a whole pineapple, remove the skin and core before cutting it into chunks. If it is pre-sliced, cut it into chunks until you have 1 full cup.
- Peel and core your apple before slicing it. We like green apples in this recipe.
- Add the apple, pineapple, frozen banana and frozen mango to your blender.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of coconut milk.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of Mango Pineapple Sea Moss Gel.
- Blend until smooth. Add ice for a colder smoothie.
Customization Ideas
- Protein: add a scoop of your favorite protein powder for a more filling smoothie.
- Green twist: blend in a handful of spinach or kale. The tropical flavor still comes through.
- Garnish: top with a pineapple wedge or a sprinkle of chia seeds.
