How to Spot Authentic Sea Moss

• Color varies naturally. Wildcrafted sea moss ranges from gold to tan to purple, with natural differences between batches. Pool-grown moss is often uniformly pale and plump.
• Thin, wiry strands. Ocean-grown moss has thinner, firmer strands. Tank-grown moss tends to be thick, soft and swollen from brine.
• A clean ocean scent. Real sea moss smells like the sea, not overpoweringly salty or chemical.
• Minimal surface salt. Heavy visible salt crystals usually mean brine-soaked pool moss.
